Sessions: Space Ambassadors

Erick is a Science Communicator at the Kenya Space Agency (KSA), where he has served since 2020 as the creative force behind the agency’s public-facing science communication across social media platforms including X, Facebook, and Instagram. With a background in journalism, he brings a storyteller’s instinct to the complex world of space science, transforming technical information into engaging, accessible content for youth, students, and general audiences across Kenya and beyond.

Over the years, he has led KSA’s communications during some of the agency’s most high-profile moments, including the December 2024 landing of space debris in Mukuku Village, Makueni County — a real-time science communication challenge that drew national and international media attention from mainstream outlets across Kenya and around the world. Erick’s work at KSA extends beyond digital platforms to include school outreach programs and public events that bring space science directly into communities.
