Since 2011, Ken Ruffin has essentially been the president of the National Space Society of North Texas (NSS-NT) presenting to well over 200 audiences. Ken has been launching NSS-NT to the NSS Chapter of the Year Award six times, and the NSS Excellence in Public Outreach Award six other times, from 2013-2024, inclusive. Also, Ken was awarded the NSS Chapter Leader Award in 2018 and in 2023. Additionally, Ken has been reelected to the NSS Board of Directors, he has been appointed to the NSS Board of Advisors, and he has been selected as an NSS Space Ambassador.
