Holly Melear is CEO and Founder of STEAMSPACE Education Outreach® and the Cities in Space® events and podcast. Holly and her team are creating education outreach for all students globally, helping them move out, up, and beyond. By creating opportunities for collaboration and mentorship with space industry professionals and academics, STEAMSPACE offers students an all-inclusive community to grow and gain an edge in the world of future space entrepreneurship and education.
With a mission to reach every student everywhere, STEAMSPACE has consistently hosted a diverse student body and has now reached thousands of students worldwide since 2015.
With a history of 27 years in the education industry, Holly has extensively trained in progressive education philosophies and techniques such as Project-Based Learning and Social Emotional Learning. She has received numerous awards and acknowledgements for her passion in STEAM and space education and support of the underrepresented. She has been published in magazines such as Thrive, Room, Interesting Engineering, CASEL Magazine (Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning), and the Journal for Space Philosophy. She also held the position of Chair for the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference in May 2023. She currently serves as NextGen Manager for ISDC, bringing industry engagement to young minds across the globe.
Holly has consistently promoted the creation of spaces where students can find their full potential, passions, and opportunities for bright futures on this planet and beyond.
