Sessions: Many Roads to Space

Barbara Belvisi is a French entrepreneur passionate about space, hardware, biology, and AI. She started as an investor, founding her first asset management firm at 27. At 29, she co-founded Hardware Club, a VC fund focused on hardware and robotics (San Francisco, Paris, Tokyo), and helped launch Hello Tomorrow. At 33, she left investing to pursue her childhood dreams. After working with NASA engineers on controlled-environment agriculture, she founded Interstellar Lab in Los Angeles in 2018. Interstellar Lab develops autonomous greenhouse systems to grow plants on Earth and in space. On Earth, it enables clean production of plant-based ingredients for cosmetics and F&B. In space, it supports food production and research for the Moon and Mars. The company won the NASA Deep Space Food Challenge (2022-2024) and launched Mission Little Prince (2024) to grow roses on the Moon and Mars. Recognitions: Top 10 Women in Tech, Forbes Top 100, Best Innovator 2022 & 2023, Choiseul 100, SAVVY AWARD
