Kirsten Bauernschmidt is a Project Engineer at The Aerospace Corporation. Her primary role is to support and technically advise civil agencies such as the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Office of Commercial Space Transportation as well as the United States Space Force on Spaceport of the Future (SOTF) modernization efforts such as architecture and infrastructure. Prior to joining Aerospace, Kirsten worked at Relativity Space, supporting USSF requirements and FAA 450 launch licensing requirements. Kirsten also worked at the FAA Air Traffic Organization Space Operations Office well as the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Kirsten has a MS in Human Factors and BS in Space Flight Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
