Mike Mongo

Astronaut Teacher

Mike Mongo, the Astronaut Teacher, has been at the forefront of astronautics and AI for nearly two decades. He is the author of The Astronaut Instruction Manual (Penguin Random House), co-author of Paul Merritt’s VoteFlipper neural network, and co-founder of the global brand-art movement OBEY. His most recent book, My Conversation with Sherlock Holmes (An Instruction Manual for Talking with AI), is co-authored and co-owned with the chatbot AI Sherlock Holmes. Mike splits his time between his two homes in Cape Canaveral and the UK’s SaxaVord Spaceport, where he trains future astronauts for tomorrow’s jobs in space. Mike Mongo’s KID ASTRONAUT Training Manual will be published in Fall 2025.
