Space Conference Speaker

John Kross

Senior Contributing Editor, Ad Astra

John F. Kross is Senior Contributing Editor with Ad Astra magazine, the flagship publication of the National Space Society (NSS). Prior to his Ad Astra duties, Dr. Kross was a medical editor/writer and vice president of a medical communications company and publisher. His “day job,” however, was frequently interrupted by Bonestell-inspired daydreams of leading an expedition to Mars and returning to the Moon. Consequently, Dr. Kross joined the National Space Institute (predecessor of NSS) in 1983. His work has appeared in medical journals, professional conferences, as well as space-focused publications such as Sky and Telescope, 21st Century Science, and Space.com. Personal highlights of his career include coauthoring an article with Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin and authoring “America’s Path to Deep Space.”
