Mike Helton is a retired Aerospace Engineer. He has a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue (1966) and a Masters in Astrodynamics from UCLA (1972). At North American Rockwell he worked on many proposals for interplanetary missions, the Apollo Program and the Space Shuttle proposal. At JPL he worked on the Mars mapping mission (Mariner Mars ’71), as a trajectory engineer for the Pioneer 10 & 11 missions, as a systems engineer on the Galileo mission, and 3 temporary assignments to NASA Headquarters. He worked as an integration manager on the early design of the Space Station and worked as a Risk Manager for many government programs (20 years) and taught classes on how to be a Risk Manager to over 350 professionals.
Mike Helton is the sole proprietor of his own investment company – Helton Associates. This company consults and fosters interchange with leading edge science and ‘high tech’ companies.
