Ginger Chen is a researcher of human-AI cognitive systems, specializing in analytical intensity, persistence, and theory-building in qualitative research. She is completing her doctoral program at Florida Institute of Technology this spring. Ginger is the developer of the GOLDEN Framework™, a six-step methodology rooted in ethical and reflexive human-AI collaboration in qualitative analysis, designed to advance learner modeling and enhance human cognitive capabilities across diverse contexts.
Her work integrates Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis and Grounded Theory with human-AI synergy to advance scalable approaches to understanding human experience. Applying the GOLDEN Framework™ to in-depth studies of astronauts’ lifelong learning and career development, Ginger has established the Heavenly Hour, Terrain Triumph, and Human Harmony (HTH) Model, which bridges Eastern philosophical strategy with Western cognitive science. Her research reveals how individuals navigate temporal dynamics, environmental systems, and identity formation across complex trajectories. The universal essence and grounded theories derived from her work offer a structured approach to supporting lifelong learners in academic success and career development.
