Andrew Nelson is a commercial space leader working with senior private and government officials across policy, technology, regulatory, and investment domains. As RS&H’s VP-Aerospace, Nelson focuses on spaceport infrastructure including planning, licensing, design, construction administration, and delivering turnkey fixtures. Nelson is Chairman of ASTM F47, Commercial Space Standards and a member of NFPA Committee 461, Spaceport Fire Protection.

Nelson’s career started at Pan Am World Services (Cape Canaveral) on missile tracking ships. At MITRE he served as DoD representative to NATO and ICAO standards committees. Nelson led Booz Allen’s space team from London and Paris through the first wave of proliferated LEO constellations and satellites for global ATM. After MIT and investment banking for 10 years, Nelson served as COO / President of XCOR Aerospace, before starting his own consulting firm in 2014.
