Anna-Lisa Paul is a plant molecular biologist; she is a Professor at the University of Florida, Director of UF’s Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR), and part of the UF Astraeus Space Institute leadership. Paul’s research is focused on plant gene expression in response to spaceflight environments, along with terrestrial research relevant to planetary exploration. Paul has been active in the spaceflight research community for over 25 years, and she has served with many roles, including two National Academies Committees (CBPSS and co-chair of BPF/HF Human Exploration of Mars Panel). Paul is a Fellow of AAAS and of ASGSR.
