  • Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

    Located just a 20–30 minute drive from the conference venue, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, part of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, is a must-see destination for fans of aviation and space exploration. The museum features two enormous hangars housing more than 3,000 remarkable objects, including over 200 aircraft and spacecraft. Visitors can get up close to icons such as the Space Shuttle Discovery and explore the planes and space vehicles that broke records, opened new frontiers, and shaped the history of flight and space travel. The site also includes the Donald D. Engen Observation Tower, which offers excellent views of the airfield and occasionally hosts special events.

  • Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum

    About a 30-minute drive from the conference venue, this flagship museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC, is the premier destination for space and aviation enthusiasts. Visitors can explore extensive exhibitions on Apollo missions, planetary science, rockets, and astronaut gear, immersing themselves in the history and achievements of human space exploration. The museum also features the Northrop Grumman Planetarium, where guests can experience stunning astronomical shows that bring the cosmos to life. While most of the museum is open to visitors, some sections have recently undergone renovations, so advance reservations may still be recommended.
