THE NATIONAL SPACE SOCIETY'S 29th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL SPACE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

Dance with a Star - Buzz Aldrin

You too can Dance With Buzz Aldrin.

The National Space Society (NSS) is auctioning off one dance with Buzz Aldrin. The dance will take place at the Governors Dinner in the Avedon Ballroom as a part of the International Space Development Conference on Saturday night, May 29. Dinner for the winner and a guest of the winner is included with the dance. The dance will be a fox trot, possibly to the music of What a Wonderful World or Fly me to the Moon.

As a show of support for the activities of the National Space Society, Aldrin, an Apollo 11 astronaut, a Dancer with the Stars this season, and a member of NSS's Board of Governors, has offered one dance to a woman chosen by the person who offers to make the largest donation to NSS over $1,200. That bid would bring the bidder into the NSS Visionary Donor category. A bid in excess of $5,000 would entitle the bidder to be recognized as a member of the Buzz Aldrin Council of NSS.

Here is how it works. Anyone who would like to bid should simply send an email to:

The note should provide the bidder's name, email address, mailing address, as many contact phone numbers as may help NSS notify the winner quickly, and the amount of the bid. All bids must be received by 3:00 pm Chicago time (4:00 pm EDT), Friday, May 28. The winner will be notified shortly thereafter. All bidders must be at least 18-years old, but the dance can be transferred to a minor. There are no rainchecks for these events.

Someone can have an exciting once-in-a-lifetime experience, or deliver a once-in-a-lifetime gift, and at the same time help NSS in its mission of continuing to promote space exploration and development.
