ISDC 2007 has planned a unique set of tours for this year's attendees.

Univ. of Texas at Arlington Planetarium Tour and Texas Instrument DLP Tour - Thursday, May 24, 2007

Depart hotel at 12:30 PM; Return by 6:30 PM.

Part 1 - Take a bus to Texas Instruments in Dallas for their Digital Light Projection tour.  See how DLP projectors work and how the parts are manufactured.  This tour takes approximately one hour.  Reboard the bus.

Part 2 – Travel to the University of Texas at Arlington Planetarium to see two planetarium shows, "Cosmic CSI:  Looking for Life in the Universe" and "Astronaut."  This will be the premier showing of "Astronaut."  The planetarium shows will last approximately one hour and forty-five minutes.  Return to the hotel by bus.

The John F Kennedy assassination tour is one of the most asked-for tours in Dallas. On Nov. 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was gunned down in the streets of Dallas. Here is what you will do and see on the tour. During the 5 hour tour you will visit the parade route through downtown Dallas, walk the famous "Grassy Knoll" and Dealey Plaza where J.F.K. was shot, Oswald's route out of downtown, the bus stop, cab stand, cab trip to rooming house on N. Beckley, site where Officer J.D. Tippet was killed, Texas Theatre where Oswald was arrested, Jack Ruby's apartment, location of Ruby's Carousel Club, City Hall where Oswald was killed, Western Union office, the Neely St. house where the famous picture was taken of Oswald holding his rifle, and Oswald's grave.  Includes paid lunch at El Fenix Restaurant.

Monning Meteorite Gallery Tour - Saturday, May 26

The Oscar E. Monning Meteorite Gallery holds one of the worlds largest collection of meteorites with over a 1000 meteorites.  When you visit the collection, you will be able to touch a piece of Mars, view all types of meteorites, learn how to identify a meteorite, and create your own terrestrial impact crater. The exclusive ISDC tour will be conducted by the curator of the collection, Dr. Arthur Ehlmann and will last approximately one hour..


Steam Train Ride to the Old Forth Worth Stockyards - Sunday, May 27, 2007
